ERSAO
Cuisine: Taiwanese
Food Trip Buddy: Mitch
Budget: P75 - P150 (depends on your budget)
When: October 20, 2010 (Wednesday)
Where: E. Rodriguez Ave. Quezon City
What Happened:
Mitch was just telling me a new Taiwanese place she knows but hasn’t really tried yet along E. Rodriguez Ave. when the jeep that we are in stopped right in front of it. We were about to go to UP when right there and then we decided to hop out of the jeep and try “Ersao”.
“Ersao” means sister-in-law according to one stuff there. I’m 25% Chinese and I studied Chinese; why didn’t I know that? (hahaha) It’s a long story so never mind! (hahaha) If you’re interested why it’s named like that; that makes the two of us. I really didn’t have the time to interview them and shyness got the best of me.
The scheme of the place is much like a fastfood. You pick from a menu, place your orders, choose a table and wait for a few minutes for your food. We ordered their combo meals - Spicy Squid + rice + strawberry pearl shake (P120) for me and Dry Chicken Steak + rice + buko lychee pearl shake (P140?) for Mitch. We also ordered a half fried half steamed dumplings (P100) which we both shared
All in all it was a pleasant experience. The food was good and the price was reasonable. So if you want an affordable hefty serving of good food, then “Ersao” is definitely a place to visit.
